FACILITIES.

We have five rooms with bathroom; three with double bed and two with twin beds. In two of them we can provide an extra bed or a cradle.

Each room is different from the rest as regards size, views and decoration. However, in all of them you will be able to enjoy latex mattresses, down filled duvets and pillows, and 100% cotton bed clothing and towels. As you can see, there are only natural products; the beds are made of wood treated with natural oils.

We will be happy to take care of your children while you get a relaxing massage or even a Bach flower or osteopathy treatment. We can also have a Tai-chi or Chi-kung session.

We currently support four organizations, all of them working either for human rights, helping poor countries, ecology movements or underprivileged children. We invite you to take a gesture of solidarity by donating 1% of the price of your room to one of them.

In our library you will find books and magazines on ecology, human rights, healthy living, naturopathy and of course, literature.
If you feel like it, you will also have the opportunity of learning how to make fruit preserves, cleaning products or cosmetics just with natural products.

And, of course, you can just relax.

Breakfast is included in the cost of your room. We’ll try our best to make it healthy and nice. You’ll love our home made food. We can also provide snacks for your outings.

LOCATION

La Pandiella is a small village in Piloña, a county right in the middle of Asturias. From here you can easily get to the mountains or to the sea. The main cities and towns in the area will also offer you the possibility of enjoying remarkable heritage and cultural events.

Picos de Europa National Park is not far from our home which is in Redes Nature Reserve. Redes Nature Reserve is less well known though not less impressive. You can get here by its natural entrance: La Collada de Arnicio. Both places: La Collada de Arnicio and Picos de Europa are within 50 km by car.

HOW TO GET THERE

Coming from Castilla/ Madrid you get to Asturias by the A-66. At kilometre 26, take A-64 to Santander. At kilometre 14, take N-634 and turn towards Infiesto. Once in Infiesto, and after the bridge, take the first road on the right , AS-254 to Campo de Caso / Parque Natural de Redes. At kilometre 3 you find a road to the left to La Pandiella, at the end of the road is the village and a sign with L’ Ayalga , Posada Ecologica.

Coming from Cantrabria or the Basque Country, 1 kilometres before Santander, take the A-67 Torrelavega – Burgos. In Torrelavega take A-8 until the Exit 326 Ribadesella –Cangas de Onis – Picos de Europa. In the roundabout take N-634 to Arriondas until kilometre 361 where you must take the road to Infiesto. At the end of the this town, take the AS- 254 to Campo de Caso/ Parque Natural de Redes. At kilometre 3 you find a road to the left to La Pandiella, at the end of the road is the village and a sign with L’ Ayalga , Posada Ecologica.

Coming Airport : Take A8 to Oviedo until P.K. 398 take A66 direction to Oviedo, León. Until P.K. 24 (A64 Santander, Langreo) At kilometre 14, take N-634 (Nava, Infiesto, Lieres, Arriondas) and turn towards Infiesto. If you arrive without car, you can get Infiesto by train (Feve) or bus (Alsa), if we Know your hour of arrival, we pick up you.

RESERVAS

Dada la gran demanda existente en nuestro establecimiento, te aconsejamos que hagas la reserva con suficiente antelación, sobre todo en vacaciones y puentes.

1. Temporada alta: del 1 de julio al 15 de septiembre, puentes, Semana Santa y Navidad.
2. Temporada baja: el resto del año.
3. Los precios no tienen incluido el 8% de IVA.
4. La confirmación de las reservas se realizará mediante el abono del 40% por adelantado del total de la estancia, mediante transferencia bancaria o por giro postal.
5. Condiciones de cancelación de la reserva:
   
   • Si se avisa entre más 7 y menos 15 días se devolverá el 50% de la reserva.
   • En los 7 dias anteriores no se devolvera el anticipo.

Una buena idea es meter en tu maleta unas zapatillas para así estar más cómodo en nuestra casa. No te arrepentirás de traerlas.

RESTORING THE HOUSE

Intentamos que todos los materiales fuesen sanos con las personas y poco o nada contaminantes con la naturaleza.

We were determined to use only materials which were healthy for people and not polluting for nature
We used lime as mortar because it allows the house to breath. We used white cement instead of the grey one because it is free of slag from the blast furnaces. All the wood was treated only with natural oils. All the hoops come from the earth. In the sewage we separated the black waters from the grey ones, and both are recycled. We use rain water for different purposes. There is not PVC in the house; we used other plastic materials, less polluting. We have solar panels to heat the house, the sun heats the rooms to the south and east through large windows; the ones to the north are insulated with hemp. Our central heating is a modern version of the old fashioned “glories”: we heat floors and walls.
We have tried to restore this house, more than 100 years old, according to the principles of bio-building and bio- climatic, using healthy and no polluting materials and saving energy .
